Coming together to share our concerns about the future of London’s Great and Ancient Forest, Epping Forest.

  • A large piece of land outlined in red, including fields and wooded areas, with some residential buildings nearby.

    Area currently for sale!

This image highlights the area that is currently for sale in Epping Forest. It constitutes Debden House campsite.

Debden House is a Grade 2 listed building, currently used to run events, trainings and residentials. The house is being sold seperately from the 50 acre campsite.

There are no covenents currently in place to protect this land from being developed, and it is on the market as, ‘leisure - led investment or residential development.’

Newham Council own this campsite and therefore, legally are within their right to sell. This is very concerning for the future of this site, trees, memories, access and inclusiveness.

    How can we help?

We can raise awareness that this area, along with many other important, green spaces in the UK are disapearing in plain sight. When they are gone, they are lost forever.

You may feel called to share what is happening.

You may wish to join us on a walk through the Forest on the 31st August, hearing stories from people who have grown up with the Forest.
